Hi, I’m Shannon and I’m a Melbourne portrait photographer.
I get excited about beautiful light, big cities, the smell of the Australian bush, brewing storms, documentaries, well-designed houses, salt and vinegar chips and music that makes me frown/nod appreciatively.
My formative years were spent shaking saltwater out of my hair in Perth before heading for the cooler climes of London. But it was Melbourne that stole my heart and it is in her arms that I truly and finally felt at home.
I now live in Melbourne’s inner-west and when I’m not shooting you’ll find me breaking up cat fights, doling out sass and killing house plants.
I’ve had work featured on Polka Dot Bride and Little Muse, have been interviewed on ABC Radio, Lollypop Beach and RAW, won third prize in the Picturing Footscray Exhibition 2018, was a finalist in the Olive Cotton Awards and a semi-finalist in the Iris Awards.
My next project explores masculinity and I am currently looking for subjects so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like further details and/or to take part.
