Hi, I’m Shannon and I’m a Melbourne portrait photographer who’s been in this game for 10+ years.
I get excited about beautiful light, big cities, the smell of the Australian bush, brewing storms, documentaries, well-designed houses, salt and vinegar chips and music that makes me frown/nod appreciatively.
My formative years were spent shaking saltwater out of my hair in Perth before heading for the cooler climes of London. But it was Melbourne that stole my heart and it is in her arms that I truly and finally felt at home.
I now live in Melbourne’s inner-west with my son and two constantly warring cats. When I’m not shooting you’ll find me collecting old records, doling out sass and killing house plants.
I’ve had work featured on Polka Dot Bride and Little Muse, have been interviewed on ABC Radio, Lollypop Beach and RAW and was a finalist in the Olive Cotton Awards and a semi-finalist in the Iris Awards.
In the past I’ve worked as a professional wedding and family photographer as well for one of Melbourne’s leading talent agencies but I am now concentrating on personal projects. My next project explores sexuality and I am currently looking for subjects so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like further details and/or to take part.
