More often than not recently, I have found myself leaving the big smoke behind and hitting the road to photograph yet another amazing country wedding.
I don’t know why the incredible people of rural Victoria keep inviting me back but they do and I fall more in love with the land each time I visit.
One of the things I love most about this adventure I’m on is that I get to meet people and visit places I wouldn’t ordinarily encounter. This wedding saw me visit the gorgeous region of Lake Bolac. It is always so special to photograph brides getting ready in the homes they grew up in and this wedding added extra gallons of special when the bride and groom chose to get married on their own farm too.
I feel smug because I’ve got a block of land that’s 719 sqm. Brooke and Adam have endless, rolling hills of land that stretch as far as the eye can see … and then keep on rolling. While we were bumping around their paddocks during the portrait session the mother of all storms unleashed her beautiful power and turned our portrait session into something unexpectedly stunning in the process.
Brooke + Adam – all I can say is I hope you enjoyed your wedding day as much as I did. Thank you from the bottom of the heart for having me. I will never forget it.
